Cantine Russo Luce di Lava Etna Rosso DOC

Cantine Russo, with vineyards owned since 1860, continues to produce wines that authentically express the rich heritage and volcanic terroir of Mount Etna, this wine is a blend of 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio, the grapes are cultivated on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, at elevations between 680 and 750 meters above sea level, in soils rich with volcanic minerals. 

The wine undergoes aging for 18 months in stainless steel tanks, followed by 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, and is refined for an additional six months in the bottle.

It is fruity and full-bodied, delivering an energetic and distinctly volcanic flavor profile, reflecting the unique terroir of Mount Etna, pairs excellently with pork dishes, as well as beef, lamb, and pasta, enhancing a variety of culinary experiences.
