Cordero San Giorgio Apsu Chardonnay
Apsu is Cordero San Giorgio's Chardonnay from the Oltrepò Pavese, made from grapes grown across select plots in Santa Giuletta and Rocca de' Giorgi. The wine ferments in stainless steel with partial malolactic fermentation, and roughly half is then aged for about six months in wood before blending. Named after the Babylonian god of fresh water, Apsu is fresh and fragrant, with citrus notes, tropical fruit and white flowers on the nose. It is vibrant on the palate, balanced by a pleasant acidity and a savoury, mineral finish.
