Cordero San Giorgio Tiamat Pinot Nero

Tiamat is Cordero San Giorgio's expression of Pinot Nero dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC, grown on a single vineyard in Santa Giuletta with clay soils and vines close to thirty years old, trained in the traditional guyot method. In the glass it shows a clear, luminous ruby-red colour, with fruity aromas of small red berries layered with notes of undergrowth and a light spiciness. On the palate it is fresh, with pleasant sapidity and soft, approachable tannins. Named after the Babylonian goddess of the primordial sea, Tiamat pairs beautifully with first courses built on meat-based sauces, as well as grilled and roasted red meats.
