Masseria Li Veli Orion Primitivo

Masseria Li Veli's Orion Primitivo is a distinguished red wine from Italy's Salento region, offering a compelling expression of the Primitivo grape. The name "Orion" originates from the Greek word "oros," meaning "boundary," referring to an ancient wall that once marked the boundary of Salento when it was a Greek colony. 

Is full-bodied and velvety, featuring flavors of baked cherries and black currants, intertwined with nuances of star anise, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Despite its richness, the wine maintains a fresh acidity, ensuring a lively and balanced finish. This Primitivo pairs excellently with hearty dishes such as meat lover’s pizza, Bolognese sauce, chicken parmigiana, slow-cooked pork, Italian-style meatballs, or smoked brisket. 

Masseria Li Veli, established in 1999 by the Falvo family, combines traditional winemaking with modern techniques to produce wines that authentically express the Salento terroir.
